  • Lie on your stomach with your arms and legs extended.

  • Hold this position for a few seconds and lower slowly.
  • Repeat this about 10 times. This exercise strengthens your lower back and stabilizes your spine.

The reverse plank (quite a bit heavy at the beginning!)

  • Sit with your legs extended and your hands behind your hips on the floor
  • Lift your hips so that your body forms a straight line.
  • Hold this position for 10 seconds and repeat 3 times. This activates your entire back and your core muscles.

Strengthen the prone plank for back muscles

  • Lie on your stomach and push yourself up with your forearms and toes.
  • Keep your body straight and tighten your abdominal and back muscles.
  • Try to hold this position for 20-30 seconds. Build this up gradually.
